IT builds a new help desk system for the organization where this pilot fish works, and it's a big improvement.

"Now users could enter help desk tickets from anywhere and have the ticket routed to the right person," says fish.

"Our CIO made the decision that this help desk could be used for anything, PC-related or not. For example, it could be used for building maintenance requests.

"About three days into the new help desk, a ticket is entered requesting building service -- there was a window leaking.

"My CIO was reading all of the calls. To this one he dutifully responded: 'Please enter your version of Windows when opening a ticket.'"

Quick Peek - Otterbox for Apple iPhone

Otterbox Defender Series Case for Apple iPhone

By ctcost

Here's a great hard case option for your Apple iPhone. The new Defender series from OTTERBOX, has a wealth of features designed to keep your expensive purchase safe and sound? Sound like a tag line? NOT. I've known the people at OTTERBOX for a long time; everything they put out has one thing in mind, protecting the device held within the case!

In this case, the new Defender series is not waterproof, but moisture resistant. This will keep your sleek iPhone safe from rain, dew, fog, what have you, Other features include:

  • Accommodates both 4 GB and 8 GB Apple iPhones.
  • Touch interface is completely protected while still being fully useable through a patented touch-screen membrane.
  • Includes 3 Layers of Protection.
  • The phone in its entirety is protected even during use as all surfaces are covered at all times.
  • Slim Design, that protects from accidental drops and bumps.
  • Case has external silicone jacket that enables excellent grip and drop protection.
  • Sync/charge, Headphone jack, volume controls, sleep/wake, home buttons and proximity sensor all accessible and fully functional through case.
  • The Silence switch is not usable through the case.
  • Case includes a swivel belt clip that provides full impact protection for the screen.
All switches, camera, touchscreen etc. are available for use except the one listed above. The phone case slides in and out of the slider nicely, and clips in securely. Not much of a chance of things happening to your phone while it's in this case!

Overall gotta give OTTERBOX a great rating on this case for providing security, in the daily urban warfare environment for your iPhone!

Listed Price: $49.95 at the OTTERBOX SITE
